Mint Juleps


From Kentucky, a mingling of whiskey and mint flavors enrobed with rich, dark chocolate that recall the “mint julep” drink and others of its type: bourbon balls, rum cordials, bourbon caramels, Irish Cream cordials and many more. During Prohibition, restaurant owners compensated for revenues they lost because of the ban on alcohol by selling after-dinner candy. Many were flavored like alcohol or named for a specific drink.
