Orange Peel Tea

Oranges may have originated in China and the surrounding area, but they reached North America through Italians, Spanish, French, and Portuguese explorers. By the 1700s, oranges were enjoyed by well-to-do European Americans who used the peel, flesh and fruit. Orange peels are rich in Vitamin C, riboflavin, thiamin, niacin, folate, vitamin A, and vitamin B-6. Dried orange peels make an excellent tea and pair well with other botanicals. Also enjoy them in baked goods, salad oils, and a variety of beverages from cocktails to soda water. They also make great decorations whether on a cake or in a potpourri.
