DESCRIPTION

One of our most popular teas, our Native American Blend, combines dandelion leaf, chickweed, ginger root, and cherry bark in a single authentically North American brew. The taste is slightly sweet and slightly bitter, combined for an overall earthy and reassuring flavor. Native Americans valued all for their health and medicinal qualities, as well as flavor. Sweeten with a variety of Native American sugars such as maple and, a newer arrival, honey. To prepare this blend of treasured herbs, add a few teaspoons to a teapot and fill with boiling water. Let steep for 3-5 minutes and enjoy warm with milk, with maple, honey or your other favorite sweetener.

Of course, Native Americans used the ingredients in this tasty blend as a curative, as well. Chickweed and dandelion teas were prepared as kidney and liver tonics. Wild cherry bark was used as a cough suppressant. Ginger root was used to treat a number of ailments including headache and upset stomach. A brew that delights and delivers.
