DESCRIPTION

Napoleon Sours are so tart and tasty, it’s hard to believe they were invented in 1912. These individually wrapped treasures are lemon flavored with a hard candy shell and a tart lemon powder inside. A pure sour flavor, not brash or chemical like today's hard candy. They're easy-to-carry, not sticky or messy. So delicious it’s hard to believe they’re all natural. So, dig in!

Historical Insights

Napoleon Sour hard candies were a creation of confectioner Candy-maker, Louis Janssen who conjured them up in The Netherlands in 1912. He picked the name “Napoleon” after a friend and fellow candy-maker named his chocolate “Caesar.” From one dictator to the next! Sadly Caesars no longer exists but good old Napoleon is with us today.
