The fragrant Jasmine is from the olive family. A highly prized flower, it is rich with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and thought to remedy a vast variety of ailments. It has been used in teas since the 5th century in South Asia, often blended with black or green tea. The jasmine flower represents purity, love, beauty and sensuality; its name is derived from the Persian word “Yasmin” meaning Gift from God.
