French Creams - Smooth and Creamy

French Creams descended from the cream candy which gained popularity in the 1800s. Children enjoyed creams as an inexpensive treat, while grown-up versions were more decorative and fanciful. Little is known of the French Creams of today - they were popular in the 1940s, although not necessarily originating in France.
