Canada Mints are a relic of a time when candy was considered fun and good for you. The texture is soft, with a melt-in-your mouth feel. The pink mints have the comforting flavor of pepsin, a true old time favorite, so hard to find today. Canada Mints are also vaguely reminiscent of NECCO Wafers. They should - the NECCO company, which started in 1847, went on to make Conversation Hearts, as well. As for the good-for-you claim. Canada Mints were thought to ease upset stomach and make you feel generally good. And who's to say they're wrong? With the old-time candy taste and texture, of course they make you feel good!
