DESCRIPTION
This vitamin-rich tea is unlike the sweet, floral rose petal tea. That’s because rose hips are the remains of a rose once the petals have fallen. Their flavor is fruity and refreshingly tart, much like hibiscus or sour cherries. The tea also has sweet undertones, so it makes an excellent belnd, but stands well on its own. Rose hips are rich in antioxidant flavonoids and pigments, iron and vitamins A, C, D and E. Rich in vitamin C, and have long been used to soothe stomach, chest, and other ailments. To make Rose Hip Tea add a tablespoon to boiling water and steep to taste or let the rose hips simmer to make a healthful decoction.
