French Creams are by far the most elegant of candies – perfect for just about any occasion. They are pastel-hued, in the traditional leaf and elaborate flower shape, each tucked in their own candy cups. The flavor varies – sweet, minty, or a combination of both. In the best old-fashioned style, they have a lightly crisp shell and a creamy sugar interior. French creams are well-suited for tea, do well as an after-dinner sweet, and fit in at a card table where guests can hold the delight sweet in one hand and the cards at another. About French Creams

French creams go back for centuries, when sugar was stirred and refined into a creamy delight. Cream candies came in many shapes and flavors, plain creams made for children, turn-of-century  chocolate covered creams, and peppermint flavored patties of the early 1900s. French creams were undoubtedly the most luxurious of creams, enjoyed by Americans since the early 1800s, at garden parties, with tea, and at any time when something tasty and beautifully crafted was desired.
