Clove gum, one of the original flavored chewing gums, has a unique, albeit old fashioned flavor. It’s spicy, much like the flavor in chai tea or hot spiced cider. The stick size and packaging is traditional, making the gum easy to carry and the wrapper an easy holder for the gum when your finished. The gum itself is soft and chewable. Perfect for snapping.

You could say Thomas Adams was the father of modern chewing gum. He was one of the first to use chicle – resin from the Mesoamerican sapodilla tree – and to introduce flavors into chewing gums. His first flavor was licorice, made into the Black Jack gum. Others, such as Tuttie Fruit and sour orange gums have vanished.
