Sugar Coated Rose Petals – Imported from France, said to have healing properties. Great on desserts!


Rose petals with a sugar coating. A favorite in the 17th and 18th centuries, candied petals were enjoyed as a sweet and topping on cakes and other confections and were said to contain healing properties. The rose we enjoy likely originated in China, although roses are native to North America. These petals are from a shop in Toulouse, France that opened in 1818. A delicate, sweet flavor. 1/8 oz in a heat-sealed bag with the history on the label.
