This Easter pick is more than what meets the eye! Jelly Beans have an honorable history, starting in the ninth century with the Turkish delight, considered a medicine in the Arabic apothecaries.  A range of candies followed from that – the gum drop (early 1800s), the jelly bean (mid-1800s), the gummy candy (1920s), and the venerable Jelly Belly, made by David Klein, who named the candy after seeing the Blues musician Lead Belly on TV.  A full 4 oz assortment of Jelly Belly beans in a recyclable, heat-sealed bag with the history on the label.
