A Bit of History

These candies date back to the late 1800s when candy-makers were marketing grown-up pleasures to kids, including pretend alcoholic beverages! Even then, adults complained that candy cigarettes would lead to tobacco, alcohol, and other addictions, especially for working class kids. The bubblegum was added around the 1940’s.
