Our buttercreams are made by hand in a small confectionery, now owned by third generation confectioners, using the family’s original, turn-of- century recipes. This assortment comes with three kinds of chocolate – dark, milk, and white – each as creamy and richly flavorful as only handmade candy can be. As you’d expect, the vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and coconut fillings are just as creamy and imbued with flavor. Each chocolate is typically made s close as possible to when they are shipped for ultimate freshness. The delightful box contains our own keepsake card with a historic image plus the story of buttercreams.

Buttercreams pair nicely with fruits and nuts, a traditional combination, and go well with wine, tea or coffee, after a meal or as a midday delight. Traditionally, buttercreams were given as a gift or served as a dessert, nicely displayed on a plate. They were also a gift in “courtship” and a beach-time delight.
