Product Details

Creamy caramel wrapped around a traditional marshmallow, first made in 1883 in Kentucky. Originally called a "caramel biscuit" - an American original. As for the backstory: In the 1800s, renowned Polish actress Madame Helena Modjeska thrilled Kentucky audiences with her performance in the debut of Ibsen's play "The Doll's House." So enchanted was a confectioner in the audience that he named his caramel-covered marshmallow then called "caramel biscuits" the "Modjeska" in her honor. These are the caramels he made. Six caramels in a heat-sealed bag with the history on the label. Perfect for gifts, or dig in and enjoy yourself!
