DESCRIPTION
Candied rose petals were a favorite of the well-to-do 18th and early 19th centuries. They have a subtle crunch and delicate sweet flavor. Enjoy them for a bit of after-dinner refreshment, a topping on cakes and other confections, or as a finish to a cup of tea. The roses we enjoy likely originated in China millions of years ago, although roses are native to North America, as well. These petals are from a shop in Toulouse, France which opened in 1818.
