Chocolate Covered Mint Julep Balls
From Kentucky, a mingling of whiskey and mint flavors enrobed with rich, dark chocolate that recall the “mint julep” – the official drink of the Kentucky Derby. During Prohibition, restaurant owners compensated for revenues they lost because of the ban on alcohol by selling after-dinner candy. Many were flavored like alcohol or named for a specific drink. Regardless, it tasted great. Contains six candies in an elegant truffle box with the story on a keepsake tag.
